How does printing work at Miner Library?
Answer
You can print from one of the library computers, your laptop, or your mobile device.
Print charges: Black & White pages - 10¢ Color - 25¢
Charge is per printed page. Double-sided prints are charged as 2 pages.
You may pay for prints using one of the following methods:
- University ID with a URos (also known as Rocky Bucks) balance. For information on how to activate and add money to a URos (also known as Rocky Bucks) account, visit How to activate a URos (also known as Rocky Bucks) account and add Funds.
- Preloaded print/copy card - $5 cards are available for purchase at the Miner Library Answer Desk (cash or check only). Preloaded $5 print/copy cards cannot be reloaded. Once the funds on the card are exhausted, you would need to purchase a new card.
- Department copy card
To print from a library computer:
- Once you have what you want to print on the screen, select FILE>PRINT
- In the print dialog box, select either Miner BW Queue - for black & white prints, or Miner Color Queue - for color prints
- You will be prompted to enter a name for your job, password is optional
- Click Print
- Release your print job by swiping your UR ID (with URos, also known as Rocky Bucks, balance), Preloaded Print/Copy Card, or Department Copy Card at one of the Miner Library print stations. (Note: color prints can only be released at the Xerox photocopier/printer)
- Select your job from the list (enter password if applicable)
- Press print
Documents can be deleted from the queue by their owner via the app, web view, or job list at the print station. Documents not released are cleared from the queue after 4 hours.
