Why can’t I renew a book online?

The library system auto-renews books 3 times. If you are unable to renew a book online, it is likely because you have reached the 3 renewal limit. If you still need the item, call (585-275-3361), email, or stop by the Library Answer Desk. You do not need to bring the book in for the renewal. We will just need your UR ID. Other reasons you may not be able to renew a book are:
- item has been requested by another patron
- fees on your account are $25 or more
