What is an embargo period for a journal? Is it possible to get a copy of an article published during the embargo period?
Answer
When a journal has an embargo, it means that the publisher does not allow full-text access to the most recent content through an electronic library database subscription. Embargo periods vary, but are typically 6 months or a year.
It is still possible for the library to obtain the article on your behalf through our Interlibrary Loan service, as some lending libraries may subscribe directly to the content. Please submit a request via ILLiad.
